Gavin Varejes Supports Princess Charlene and SA Lifesaving
At an event held in July 2017 in Umhlanga, Durban at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Princess Charlene of Monaco was invited to be the Patron of Lifesaving South Africa. Princess Charlene, known for her passion about about safety in water, is an Olympic swimmer who grew up in South Africa and represented the country at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. The Princess launched the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation in 2012 with the aim of raising awareness of the dangers of water and teaching kids to swim. The organisation has so far reached hundreds of thousands of people across the globe.
A Great Honour
In response to being appointed as Patron of SA Lifesaving Princess Charlene said it is a great honour to be named as such by an organisation that shares her vision of improving water safety. She has dedicated over two decades of her life to swimming and has learned how important qualities like team spirit, dedication, self-discipline and respect for the water are. In light of Princess Charlene being appointed as Patron of Lifesaving South Africa, the partnership between Lifesaving Foundation and Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation will hopefully improve the promotion of various water safety projects in the country.
Gavin Varejes Announces Rescue Board Distribution
